Using Item Alias

Create an alias for each customer or customer mask. Item aliases may also be created in Item Alias Groups, which can then be assigned to customers.

Use Item Aliases for customers who prefer or require to have their own item codes and descriptions printed on sales orders, invoices, bills of lading, and lot releases, rather than the codes and descriptions used by your company.

The Item Alias table contains customer or customer masked items that have alternative or standard item information required by the customer on their transactions. It is also used in EDI purchase orders and invoices to convert your item ID and name to your customer's item Id and name.
